Meet the Team

Daniel Davis, Lead Planter/Pastor
Daniel and Joy were married in October 2003. After two years of youth ministry and finishing their Bachelor’s degrees, they moved away from home for Daniel to attain his Master’s of Divinity in Christian Ministry at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville Kentucky.
While in Louisville, they became members of Sojourn Community Church, an 8-year-old church in the heart of the city, active in planting other churches. It was during this time that the Lord awoke a passion in Daniel to plant Gospel centered churches that live life together in community as missionaries in their cities. Daniel and Joy have a love for the local church and for investing in the people around them.
They have two children, Reid (2 1/2) and Annelise (1). The Davis’ are working with the North American Mission Board and the Acts 29 network to become an approved church planter. Daniel is also being discipled at Grace Bible Church as a Church Planter and will be sent out from them to do this work.

Tim Ganger, Elder
Tim and Sarah grew up in opposite corners of Houston and attended Houston Baptist University. Tim spent five years working in youth ministry at a local church in southwest Houston. They currently live in Louisville, Kentucky, where Tim is pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and will graduate in May of 2009. Upon moving to Louisville, the Gangers joined Sojourn Community Church and discovered true biblical community in a local church. They were inspired by the authenticity, accountability and servanthood exhibited within the Sojourn family. Their involvement with small group ministry at Sojourn awakeded a desire to see the same type of community established in their hometown.
Tim and Sarah enthusiastically welcomed their first child Eliza, this past November. They look forward to returning to and ministering in the city they love.

Dave Ainsworth, Elder
Dave and Maggie were married in June 2005, and moved to Louisville, KY from Florida to attend Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Maggie has completed her Masters in Biblical Counseling. Dave has completed his on-campus requirements for the Masters of Divinity.
Dave and Maggie have always had a desire to return to the Bible Belt, with hearts for those who have mistaken a cultural acceptance of Christianity for the real thing – life with Jesus and his people. That desire was given full-shape as they joined and became leaders at Sojourn Community Church. While there, they met the Davis' and the Gangers' and quickly discovered minds of one accord and hearts knit together.
Dave and Maggie have one son, Shepherd, to be born in April 2009.
